Social Research and Public Policy Capstone: Getting Started

About this Guide

Social Research & Public Policy is a multidisciplinary program that draws information from the fields of sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, and others.  This guide will point you to the best resources to use in your research, including books, scholarly articles, reference sources, and data.

As you begin working on your Capstone Project, you will need to have a firm grasp of how to use the NYU Abu Dhabi Library’s rich collection of print and digital resources. If you haven’t already, you should also build a database of your personal research that will help you prepare your works cited list once you finish writing.

This research guide will point you to the most helpful resources in your major. We also highly recommend setting up a one-on-one appointment with your liaison librarian, during which you can ask questions specific to your own research and receive personalized assistance. To set up an appointment, send an email to Meggan Houlihan (mah23@nyu.edu) or Amani Magid (am6087@nyu.edu ), and they will contact you directly to set up an appointment.

If you would like to consult previous capstone projects, please stop by Archives and Special Collection between 11am - 2pm, Sunday through Thursday.
