The objective of the Afghanistan Digital Library is to retrieve and restore the first sixty years of Afghanistan’s published cultural heritage. The project catalogues and digitizes as many Afghan publications from the period 1871–1930 as possible to identify and locate.

Associated Press Collections Online is a database of primary source historical newswires from the Associated Press. Content includes images and original PDFs from the Middle East Bureaus (1967-2005, in English and Arabic), U.S. City Bureaus (post WWII), and Washington D.C. Bureaus (1938-2009), as well as the AP Internal Communications module (personal papers of AP staff members, consisting of wire copy, correspondence, journals, reporters' notebooks, and other materials).

Cheetah is a discovery portal for legal information and includes matrix tools, reports, contract guides and charts. Users can access a range of information on government contracts, litigation law, intellectual property, tax law, and other facets of the legal field.

CNKI offers a wide variety of economic, social and environmental statistical information. Users can find information through a data search (with a standard, an index value, and an index definition mode), a data analysis tool (enabling comparison by districts, indexes, years), and yearbook navigation. The database includes all aspects and fields: national accounting, fixed assets investment, population and human resources, people’s living conditions and price indices, enterprises and institutions, finance, natural resources, energy and environment, political and public administration, peasants and agriculture and rural areas, industry, construction, transportation and telecommunication, domestic trade and foreign trade, touring, catering, education and technology, culture and sports, and public health.

CNBKSY Database is a database of both English- and Chinese language newspapers of the 19th and early 20th centuries from the collections of The Shanghai Library.

The Newspapers listed below are available for trial:
-The North-China Daily News & Herald, Limited, was the most important and largest British-founded press agency in Shanghai in the 1800s.
-The North-China Herald: Founded in 1850, it was the first English newspaper published in Shanghai.
-The North-China Daily News: Originally a supplement to The North-China Herald, the News later increased in importance, while the Herald became its supplement.
-The North-China Desk Hong List: Provides both general and detailed information about various firms, enterprises and agencies (foreign agencies in particular) in Shanghai and other major cities around China.

Footage Access contains downloadable, streaming audio and video footage from a number of large media archives, including historical newsreels, HBO's March of Time series, the CONUS stock footage archive, National Geographic, the Discovery Channel, and the Associated Press. Access and licensing rights allow users to download and reuse clips for any educational purpose such as student films, research papers, and projects.

The Latin American Anarchist and Labour Periodicals collection contains the periodicals that have been accumulated by the Austrian anarchist, historian and collector Max Nettlau (1865-1944), together with a number of later additions, held at the International Institute of Social History (IISH) in Amsterdam. The collection provides documentation pertaining explicitly to the formative anarchist and anarcho-syndicalist episode (1890-1920) in the history of Latin American labor movements.

The Datasets page is led by NYUSH Center for Data Science and Analytics, and created in collaboration with NYUSH Library. It aims to serve as a starting point for students and scholars to search for data related with China. The data have a focus almost exclusively on China collected mainly by Chinese administrations and scholars. The datasets presented here should either have open access to the public, or require mininal registration (a single step of logging in), or at the most ask users to fill in an application form for permission. The data can be accessed as either downloadable sets, online analysis tools, or aggregate statistics usually in tables.

NYU Libraries has a trial subscription to Politico Pro, a resource tool from the writers at Politico that offers in-depth policy analysis, real-time updates on legislation in Washington, political news, calendar events, and more. We already have access to basic Politico.com content through LexisNexis (from 2007-present), and this resource would expand access and offer more content plus a few unique tools. NYU has on-campus only access to this trial and it is available from any device when you are on campus. We are seeking feedback on Politico Pro until the trial period expires on April 3rd, 2017. Supreme Court Insight is a complete online collection of full opinions from Supreme Court argued cases, including per decision, dockets, oral arguments, joint appendices and amicus briefs. Content associated with each case is compiled on a dynamic page organized to facilitate understanding of the judicial process, and is also retrievable on a document by document basis.

Yewno is a discovery tool that provides a graphical display of the interrelationships between concepts. Yewno uses computational semantics, graph theory, and machine learning to extract concepts from scholarly publications including journals, books, and theses, and displays search results in a graphical interface that displays the interrelationships between those concepts. Users can follow links in that display to find the underlying publications from which concepts and relationships are extracted, and the system integrates with library resource licenses allowing users to have direct access to the full text of publications.
