NYC Department of City Planning

The New York City Department of City Planning is the agency charged with initiating planning and zoning changes for neighbhorhoods and business districts in the city, along with providing policy analysis and technical assistance relating to housing, transportation, demography, and more. Accordingly, the DCP website is an excellent resource for finding and using census data for New York City. See the New York City Geography page on this research guide for links into various resources from the Dept. of City Planning.
