AAWW: Asian American Writers' Workshop (US)
'Established in 1991, AAWW is a national not-for-profit arts organization devoted to the creating, publishing, developing and disseminating of creative writing by Asian Americans.' Check out their online magazines 'Margins' and 'Open City'.
Asia Society (US)
'Dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders and institutions of Asia and the United States in a global context.' See website for concerts, exhibitions, book readings, film screenings, and lectures.
BASUG: diaspora and development (Netherlands)
DAAN: Diasporic Asian Art Network (US)
'Network of scholars, artists, curators, arts writers, and graduate students interested in Asian American art and art history.' Founded in 2009.
Federation of Indian Associations (New York, US)
IAAC: Indo-American Art Council (US)
'Supports all the artistic disciplines in classical, fusion, folk and innovative forms influenced by the arts of India.' Organizes dance, film and literature festivals, art exhibitions, fashion shows and more.
Rajkumari Cultural Center (US)
A community-based, multi-arts organization that works to rejuvenate the culture and arts of East Indians from Guyana, Suriname, and Trinidad in the US. Founded in 1966.
Akademi: South Asian Dance in the UK
Website provides information on South Asian dance performances, classes and workshops, job opportunities, conferences, news and other dance events happening throughout the UK.
SADAA: South Asian Diaspora Arts Archive (UK)
SADAA started life as SALIDAA, the South Asian Diaspora Literature and Arts Archive, in 1999. SADAA's role is to 'collect, preserve and utilize the work of displaced or relocated' South Asian cultural practitioners.
SAVAC: South Asian Visual Arts Center (Canada)
'Dedicated to the development and presentation of contemporary visual art by South Asian artists.' The Center develops and produces exhibitions, and a range of contemporary visual art interventions and programs. Established in 1997.
SAWCC: South Asian Women's Creative Collective (US)
'An arts organization dedicated to the advancement, visibility, and development of emerging and established South Asian women artists and creative professionals by providing a physical and virtual space to profile their creative and intellectual work across disciplines.'
SouthAsianPlaywrights.org (US)
An online resource showcasing American and Canadian based playwrights of South Asian descent.
