Databases

Each database is different in the format of information it holds and in the focus of the information it holds.

It is always a good idea to search in more than one database to find the information you are after.

Below are 5 of many databases appropriate for this assignment. You can find many others on the Arch page (https://arch.library.nyu.edu/):

  • General/Multidisciplinary Databases (multiple formats (journals, magazines, video, etc.) AND multiple subjects)
  • Subject Specific Databases (try looking at those listed under Physics and Astronomy)
  • Content-Specific Databases (specific formats, e.g. newspapers, encyclopedias, biographies, etc.)

Need Help With the MLA Citation Format?

Use the MLA tab on the library's Citation Style Guide for instruction on formatting a paper or bibliography.
