Event Details

The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) has recently adopted the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. The Framework emphasize threshold concepts and this workshop will familiarize participants with threshold concepts as a general learning theory, along with their development and application in the subject discipline of information literacy. Participants will have the opportunity to consider strengths, weaknesses and implications of the new framework and its relevance and utility to their own teaching contexts. Learning will take place through discussion and peer exchange, facilitated group work, and presentations.
