The Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI) provides bibliographic citations for articles in scholarly journals that regularly cover Latin America (including Brazil), the Caribbean, and U.S. Latinos, with an emphasis on the humanities and social sciences. HAPI indexes journals in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian, and it provides links when available to full-text sources, many of which are open access.
PRISMA: Publicaciones y Revistas Sociales y Humanísticas (with HAPI index) provides access to full-text scholarly journals in the social sciences and humanities for the study of Latin America and the Caribbean. Content is in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Publications in this database that are indexed in UCLA's Hispanic American Periodicals Index can also be searched by subject. (Journals or articles in PRISMA not indexed in HAPI cannot be searched in this way.)
A bibliography on Latin America and the Caribbean consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities. Each year, more than 130 academics from around the world choose over 5,000 works for inclusion in the Handbook.
