This purpose of this guide is to facilitate research in the area of museum studies.
Museums are part of so many aspects of human life, such as the arts, anthropology, sociology, communications, etc., so it makes sense that the field of study is multidisciplinary. When searching for scholarly articles, you may have to try databases across several disciplines depending on your topic. Indexes literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. This database can used to search for information related to historical societies, houses, and museums in the United States.
Anthropology Plus indexes core journals plus local and lesser-known journals in social, cultural, physical, biological, and linguistic anthropology; ethnology, archaeology, folklore, and material culture; and interdisciplinary studies.
