Faculty and Ph.D. students can request books from Bobst and Courant Libraries to be delivered to Dibner Library. Simply place your request in BobCat following the instructions to the right and you will receive an email when your book is available for pick up.

How long will my request take?
Items take 2-3 weekdays to arrive.

How do I know that the item was requested?
Log in to BobCat. Under "My Workspace" select the link to "My library account." This area allows you to view your account and see what items you have on loan, as well as view holds, bookings, fines and fees. 

How long can I borrow the book for?
Borrowing policies are set by NYU; See NYU Libraries Privileges Guide for more information.  

Where do I return borrowed books?
You may return books to either Dibner, Bobst or Courant Library. All books must be returned on or before the due date in order to avoid any charges from accruing.

What items can I request?
You can request items available through the circulating collection of Bobst and Courant Libraries. Items available through Reference, Reserve or Special Collections cannot be requested.

How to Place a Request

1. Get started by first logging in to BobCat. 

2.  Search for the title you need in BobCat. Click the "Available @ GetIt" link.

3.  Eligible materials will display a blue "request" button. Click this button to make a delivery request.

4. Use the dropdown menu to select "NYU-Poly."

5. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the box.
