Help with Sources, Citation, and Research

If you have questions about how to access sources, or about services available in the library, you can ask at the library front desk (during Circulation Desk hours).

For help with citation and research, visit the Ask A Librarian page to chat with a librarian, or send an email to shanghai.librarian@nyu.edu.

Vanessa Lawrence is the support librarian for GPS. You can email her at vanessa.lawrence@nyu.edu or book an appointment with her directly.

Help with Writing, Speaking, and Academic Skills

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers academic support for students.

Writing and Speaking Fellows offer writing and speaking consultations as well as academic skills coaching. Learning Assistants offer tutoring on specific courses. You can meet with Writing and Speaking Fellows or course-specific Learning Assistants by booking an appointment online.

The ARC also offers Academic Skills Workshops - asynchronously through online videos and synchronously in person.

You can email the ARC at shanghai.arc@nyu.edu.

Help with Course Requirements

If you need help with understanding class requirements, assignments, readings, or other course-specific details, you should contact the course instructors or your recitation instructor. Find their emails and drop in student hours in the GPS syllabus.
