About Love Data Week

Every year, the week around Valentine’s Day is celebrated as the International Love Data Week and is hosted by ICPSR. Organizations involved in the stewardship, use, and reuse of data collectively spotlight the importance of caring for the data used in our research, policy planning, and scholarly pursuit.

Join us in celebrating Love Data Week 2025!

This year, Love Data Week runs from February 10th to 14th, 2025. The goal is to celebrate data, foster data-driven community by raising global awareness about all things data, and promote the importance of data driven research, decision making and data management.

This year's theme is "Whose Data Is It, Anyway?"

Data is personal. This year’s theme is an invitation to remember to think about where data came from before using it. Join International Love Data Week at NYU, to learn about data equity and inclusion, disciplinary communities, and creating a kinder world through data.

At Bobst Library, Dibner Library, and online, we’ll be hosting a series of data-related events including talks, panels, and discussions on topics like data anonymization, data careers (co-hosted by NYU’s Women in Technology), and information governance (presented by NYU’s Enterprise Information Governance & Management team). We’ll also be hosting a film screening of WALL-E and classes on R and Stata.
