This guide covers materials about the presence of African descended people in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Bahamas

(2) I have done a lot of research in the archives.  There is a website (
http://www.bahamasnationalarchives.bs/)  where you can read about the rules
and regulations of the research room.  Copies are available of most
research material.  There are some private deposits which cannot be copied.
You will find an email address on the website to send questions on your
research topic before you arrive.

With regard to lodging some small hotels are: The Orchard Hotel on Village
Road (http://orchardhotelbahamas.com/), the Towne Hotel on George Street
down town (http://www.townehotel.com/), and the Delancey Street bed and
breakfast on Delancey Street near the National Art gallery (
https://www.facebook.com/DelancyTowneBedandBreakfast.CafeDelancy).

(1) I made a flying visit there last May to check on holdings and found
the staff to be exceedingly welcoming and helpful. I dealt with Mary
Alpuche who could (then) be reached at <archives.@btl.net>.
