Flow

Flow can be used to save references, organize research, share citations, and create bibliographies. Flow was recently released by ProQuest and will eventually be replacing Refworks. This box can help you understand how to use Flow, as a new user or a transitioning one.

1. Save References

  • Import citations and PDFs from library databases
  • Import articles and PDFs from the web
  • Import RIF files of citation libraries from other tools (such as Refworks, Endnote, Zotero, and Mendeley)

2. Organize Research

  • Annotate PDFs
  • Create folders and subfolders
  • Easily edit records

3. Share citations

  • Share folders (including any PDFs housed within) with an unlimited number of NYU users and up to 25 outside users
  • Group annotation capabilities

4. Create bibliographies

  • Instantly create bibliographies from saved citations
  • Add in-text citations within Word and Google Drive
