On the sub-level pages are alphabetical listings of databases of possible use in researching the history of the United States. But what this list does not always tell you is what is hidden in that content. To be fair, with over a thousand databases, that would be near impossible.
The upshot is you have to check in databases also by time periods covered (such as Eighteen Century Collections Online), type of content (any of the newspaper databases), and topics (such as Women and Social Movements). You ccan also email a subject specialist to get assistance in locating materials.
