Introduction

BOOK HISTORY is an area of interdisciplinary research and enquiry, which draws on and has relevance to multiple academic interests. Using aspects and methodologies from bibliography and textual studies, history, literary criticism and cultural theory, the History of the Book is a dynamic area of study and research focusing on literacy and reading practices, the circulation of texts, the relationship of author, reader and publisher, and the materiality of text.
