Ethnographic Video Online is a resource for the study of human culture, behavior and society around the world. The collection contains over 1,300 hours of video, including ethnographic films, documentaries, select feature films, and previously unpublished fieldwork footage.

Kanopy Streaming provides access to contemporary and classic feature films and documentaries, from the major Hollywood studios and well as independent and international filmmakers.

Docuseek2 is a collection of 1800 documentary films from the catalogues of Bullfrog Films, Icarus Films (including The Fanlight Collection and dGenerate Films), Kartemquin Films, KimStim, the National Film Board of Canada, and Terra Nova Films.

The Global Environmental Justice Collection is a database containing 25 documentaries selected by faculty at Whittier College, Yale, Brandeis and NYU. The subjects range from the hidden costs of fast fashion in Asia and forest preservation in Tibet to inner-city environmental issues in the US. Together these films promote understanding of the link between environmental issues and human rights and they support the search for solutions to complex global problems.

The American Archive of Public Broadcasting is a digital video and audio archive, curated by the Library of Congress in collaboration with WGBH, and dedicated to preserving for posterity the most significant television and radio programs from the U.S. public broadcasting system from the 1960s to the present.

Ethnographic Sound Archives Online brings together over 2,000 hours of previously unpublished historic field recordings from around the world, along with supporting field notes and ethnographers’ metadata.

Music Online: American Music is a history database that allows people to hear and feel the music from America's past. The database includes songs by and about American Indians, miners, immigrants, slaves, children, pioneers and cowboys. Included in the database are the songs of Civil Rights, political campaigns, Prohibition, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, anti-war protests and more.

Smithsonian Global Sound is an audible encyclopedia of the world's music and related aural traditions, as documented by recordings from the Smithsonian Folkways catalogue and other sources.
