Goals, 2021-2022

  • Transition to the linked data with the knowledge of data mapping and conversion as well as hands-on practices in the linked data editors through timely training and documentation, including BIBFRAME Study Group, Sinopia Editor training, RDA 3R training and PCC Wikidata project  
  • Enhance communications and collaborations with stakeholders by having joint meetings (e.g. Collections/Access, Research Services, etc.) and joint projects (e.g. DLTS for the Metadata policies for NYU-produced digitized collections; HathiTrust deposit workflow; IIIF, etc.)  
  • Streamline workflows such as creating authority records and online maintenance form; and share our documentation in public facing platform through our work with the KARMS LibGuide group  
  • Conduct forward-looking pilot projects to have a comprehensive survey of diverse types of metadata or descriptive metadata for all types of resources such as AV resources or images which need standardized metadata for discovery.
