The Kotar Library provides access to reference books, encyclopedias, journals, etc., published over the past half century in Hebrew and English.

Magnes Press publishes some 60 nonfiction titles yearly, including translations of classic literature and periodicals. It has published titles mostly in Hebrew and English, in various fields of study such as archaeology, the Ancient East, Classical studies, Jewish studies, Christianity, Islam, literature, linguistics, philosophy, history, geography, Middle East, art, musicology, education, psychology, sociology, medicine, and natural sciences.
