Access World News provides the html full text and, for some titles, the pdf "as printed" visual representation, of articles from a variety of national and international news sources, including newspapers, digital-native news websites, television and radio transcripts, blogs, college and university newspapers, journals, magazines, and some audio and video. Most international titles are English language. Dates of coverage vary from title to title, but primarily span the late 20th century to present.

Currently operates four 24 hour satellite channels of programming, including current international news, variety programs, a Chinese teaching channel (educational and cultural programming from the People's Republic of China), and programs from emerging nations. AdForum offers access to thousands of streaming television advertisements broadcast nationally and internationally, as well as some digital and print content. Coverage dates focus on the most recent decade but include some historical content from the 20th century. Searchable by keyword, ad agency, brand, industry, country, and people credits.

Internet Archives Universal Newsreels
In the pre-TV era, people saw the news every week in their neighborhood movie theaters. Newsreels were shown before every feature film and in dedicated newsreel theaters located in large cities. Universal Newsreel, produced from 1929 to 1967, was released twice a week

Archive of American Television
Founded in 1997, the Television Academy Foundation’s Archive of American Television has conducted over 700 oral history interviews (over 3000 hours) with the legends of television. These interviews chronicle the birth and growth of American TV History.

Film, Video, Fiction Television Programs, Available Online via Library Congress
The Library of Congress has unveiled its new National Screening Room, a free collection of digitized historical films, commercials, newsreels and other clips. According to the library, most of the movies are in the public domain and are available for downloading; others are only available to stream.

The PBS video collection provides streaming access to selected documentaries and programs produced by the Public Broadcasting Service. Coverage runs from the 1970s to present day, and spans a wide range of topics including history, science and technology, diversity studies, business, current events, and biographies. Highlights include programs from Frontline, NOVA, American Experience, Odyssey, and films by Ken Burns and Michael Wood.
