Find Language Policies

Wikipedia

One strategy for finding language policies is to use Wikipedia as a starting point.

  • Find a Wikipedia article about a language policy for a specific region
  • Look through the article for links to the original policy document. Links are often in the References, Notes, or External Links.

Try starting from these lists of articles on Wikipedia:

Organization Websites

If you're interested in the language policy of a specific organization, you can browse their official website to find a language policy. This is a more difficult way to find documents, but it can lead to results.

Try some of these strategies as you search:

  • For an organization or company website, look for a "Policies" page that links to official policy documents.
  • For an organization or company website, look for a "Vision", "Mission", or similar page in the "About" section.
  • Search for "language" as a keyword across the website.
