Zotero: Saving a Web Page

A guide to using the citation management tool Zotero.

Saving a Web Page in Zotero Standalone

You might view a web page in your browser and want to capture a record of the page and its URL in your Zotero library.
Display the web page (e.g., http://cdc.gov shown below).  Launch Zotero so that the Zotero pane displays in the bottom half of your browser.

Saving a Web Page (in the Firefox Zotero extension)

To save a citation for a webpage you are viewing, click on the Zotero icon that looks like a single page. This method saves a snapshot of the webpage you are visiting, the URL, date, and title.  You can manually enter more information into the citation.
