Dibner VR Loaning Program

This guide provides an overview to Dibner's Virtual Reality loaning program and provides links to submit content to the headset.

How to upload files to your Virtual Reality Headset

If you are interested in testing out developmental software on one of Dibner's Virtual Reality Loaning Kits, we can easily accommodate you!

Software can be uploaded through this Google Form.

Please keep in mind the following when uploading files to the Google Form:

  1. We only offer Meta Quest 2 Headsets currently
  2. Please allow 1-2 hours for the software to be distributed to your headset. Software can only be uploaded between 9AM EST and 9PM EST, Sunday's through Thursday's.
  3. If uploading an app or video game, please make sure your file is in an APK format.
  4. If uploading a video, please make sure to use an MP4 format.
  5. You may also upload a WebXR link, which will then be sent to your Headset.
  6. All files are deleted from the headset upon being returned.

Saving Files on your GoPro Camera

To use the Go Pro Max, as well as any other cameras loaned out by Dibner Library, students will be provided with an SD card.

It is highly suggested students wipe their SD card once finished with the GoPro Camera.

After recording videos through the Go Pro, students can download their files onto their personal computer or onto one of Dibner's loaner laptops.

How Can I Get Help?

You can request IT help in-person at the Dibner Service Desk from 9am-9pm, Sunday's through Thursdays.

You can also each out to dibner-its@nyu.edu.
