First-Year Writing Seminar

NYUAD Librarians are available to answer your questions via chat or email. 

• Consultants are trained to work with student writers and offer free one-on-one consultations with students.
• Consultants work with students at any stage of the Writing Process: brainstorming, drafts, or revisions.
• Consultants can help students understand and navigate their own writing process (write early and often).
• Consultants are trained to work with students from across the disciplines.
• Consultants work with students from across the four years: seminar papers, research proposals, study away essays, capstone proposals, and capstones.
• Consultants read and work with any kind of student writing from papers to poetry.  If you’ve written something, our consultants will read it.
• Students sign up by going to the Writing Center on the Student Portal.  It’s easy!
