R is a free open-source statistical software that can be downloaded through CRAN. RStudio is a popular interface that runs R code and can be downloaded to be used as an alternative to the R interface. To run RStudio, R needs to be downloaded first.
R is installed in several computer labs on campus, including Data Services workstations located on the 5th floor of Bobst Library.
NYU students have free access to R through NYU Virtual Computing Lab (VCL).
