Museums are part of so many aspects of human life, such as the arts, anthropology, sociology, communications, etc., so it makes sense that the field of study is multidisciplinary. When searching for scholarly articles, you may have to try databases across several disciplines depending on your topic. If you need assistance deciding which databases are most relevant to your research, you can contact Giana Ricci, Librarian for the Fine Arts, at giana.ricci@nyu.edu.
Popular art periodicals can be great resources for museum news, exhibition reviews, and curator or director profiles. Use the "search within this publication" feature to search for articles by keyword. You can also search all of these simultaneously by using the database Art and Architecture Source (linked below).
