Many companies in the music business are subsidiaries of other companies or private companies. Information on private companies, and even subsidiaries/divisions of public companies, can be challenging. Private companies generally do not have to report their financials, and subsidiary/division information is usually reported under the parent company's name. Information on private companies is usually limited to brief information in directories, news, trade publications and magazines. Try searching an article database for any mentions of company news, financials or business models.
