NYU-LIU Dual Degree Program

New York University has partnered with Long Island University’s Palmer School of Library and Information Science to offer a combined 52-credit dual master's degree program that prepares students for careers in the field of library science.

Consortium Agreement

Upon completion of the add/drop date for classes, you must submit a Consortium Agreement form. Consortium Agreements must be filled out every semester to confirm your enrollment at NYU and LIU. The Consortium Agreement form gives NYU permission to transfer funds from your NYU Bursar Account to Long Island University for tuition payments.

  • Include any non-NYU monies (aid received by LIU) into the Consortium agreement.

  • Submit Consortium Agreements before LIU’s add/drop date to Peter Culliney (Peter.Culliney@liu.edu), Program Director–NYU Partnership, LIU Palmer School of Library and Information Science. Consortium Agreements may take a few weeks to process.

  • If you choose to enroll in classes at only one school for any given semester, you must register as “Maintaining Matriculation” at the school where you will not be taking classes.
    • This maintains your position as an active student in the school, even though you are not taking a class that term.
    • Please contact your school (either the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences or Steinhardt) on the NYU side, or speak to Dr. Baaden on the LIU side to register as “Maintaining Matriculation.”
