Creating a Journal in Manifold is similar to creating a Project, albeit with some additional metadata and the added structure of Issues and Volumes. In some ways, the initial steps for creating a Journal is similar to those for a Project, but the content of Journal Issues is even more similar to regular Projects.
- Note that it’s possible for a Journal to remain in Draft Mode even if an Issue within it is Published.
For more, including instructions on how to create Journals and how to manage metadata specific to Manifold Journals, see the Manifold Journals documentation.
While Journal Volumes are relatively straightforward – they essentially consist of a landing page with a basic Hero Block and Content Blocks collecting each of its Issues – Journal Issues are a little more complex in terms of how they can be created and edited. For more information specifically on Journal Issues, see the “Issues” article and “Editing Journal Issues” section in Manifold’s documentation.
