This guide presents a selection of online and print resources related to test instruments in the fields of psychology, health, and education.

Additional Web-based Resources

This section provides links to resources on the Internet that are concerned with tests and measures. Many of these resources are profit-based and offer a venue to purchase tests, while others are informational in nature. See the following subsections:

Guidelines for Test Use

Code of Fair Testing Practices in Education (PDF). The Joint Committee on Testing Practices. Washington, DC: Joint Committee on Testing Practices, 1988.

Unlike the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing, the Code is meant to be understood by the general public, is limited to educational tests, and primarily focuses on those issues that affect the proper use of tests. The full-text of the Code accompanied by commentary can be found at the American Psychological Association Web site (PDF).
