Jack Brause Library for Real Estate

NYU's Jack Brause Library is one of the preeminent real estate libraries in North America.

Fall 2021 Visitors Policy

The Jack Brause Library will be closed to visitors during the Fall 2021 semester, as we follow university, city, and state guidelines to prioritize safety and limit indoor exposure. We remain committed to carrying out one of the foundational goals of the Brause Library, to support the local real estate professional community. While we cannot offer onsite access, we encourage the community members that, in the past, were able to make advanced appointments to use the library to reach out to the library staff with research inquiries:

  • Licensed New York real estate professionals, including brokers, appraisers, and salespeople.
  • Alumni of the NYU real estate degree programs (Schack Institute, formerly the Real Estate Institute).
  • Currently-enrolled students from affiliated institutions (New School, Cooper Union, Columbia University)

Please email us at midtown.library@nyu.edu. We also encourage researchers to consider the resources at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL) at the New York Public Library, which is planning to reopen progressively over the fall.
