In addition to deciding what your journal’s area focus is, what your organizational model is (who will be making the decisions about what is in scope for the journal), and what your author agreements might look like, you will also need to consider your editorial process. Are you publishing monthly? Annually? On a rolling basis? And how are you managing submissions, making editorial decisions, implementing revisions, reviewing changes, staging the materials for publication, not to mention designing and maintaining the website?
