Real Estate Data Sources

Moody's CRE (formerly REIS)
Provides in-depth commercial real estate property data and analytics, including vacancy rates, rent levels, cap rates, new construction, rent and sales comps, valuation estimates, and capital market trends. Includes quarterly updated trends and forecasts of rent, vacancy, and inventory for apartment, office, retail, warehouse, R&D, and additional sectors in up to 275 US metropolitan areas and more than 6,300 markets and segments. Formerly known as REIS

Use your NetID email - not an email alias - to log in. On the Moody's site, select the "Login with email" option -- not the "Create an account" option -- and enter your NetID email on the ensuing screen.
Preqin
Provides financial information and data on alternative asset markets worldwide. NYU's subscription includes private equity and venture capital, private debt, real estate, hedge funds, infrastructure, sustainability/ESG, and Preqin's Insight+ analysis. Other modules are not available at this time.

Users may request large data downloads (that require delivery via a custom Preqin link) via Preqin's live chat. Preqin's private equity and venture capital data is also accessible via WRDS.
Dewey Data
Dewey is an academic research data platform that provides access to third-party quantitative and geospatial datasets across a variety of categories including behavioral economics, corporate finance, marketing, public policy, real estate, urban planning, weather, workforce management. Real estate data sources include: ATTOM Data (mainly residential, US property transaction data); Builty (US building permit data); RentHub (US residential rent data); REsimplifi (US commercial listings data)
Bloomberg
Bloomberg is a terminal-bound financial services platform with advanced analytical and data functions. To learn more about how to find and use NYU's Bloomberg terminals, please consult our Bloomberg guide. The Bloomberg terminal includes full text access to Bloomberg.com via the BBG command.

Must be accessed on-site at NYU's Bobst (Greenwich Village), Brause (Midtown), Dibner (Downtown Brooklyn), Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi Libraries.
GlobalData Travel and Tourism
GlobalData's Travel and Tourism intelligence services provide research on key market trends & how they will impact the future of the industry. Reports include international market transactions and construction/pipeline data
LSEG Workspace
Individual account creation required before you can login. Account requests require a mandatory 7-10 business day processing period. Users with existing accounts may log into the web interface here. LSEG Workspace provides access to fundamental financial data on public companies, merger and acquisitions, financial market data and quotes, analyst reports, and private equity and venture capital. It features powerful screening and charting capabilities. This product was formerly known as Thomson ONE, Eikon, and Refinitiv Workspace.

Each user is permitted to view and/or download up to 150 pages of analyst report content ("AMR") per 24 hour period. Faculty may request expanded AMR access - pending availability - by emailing the Business Library team using our form.

Users may log in via the LSEG web platform, or optionally via LSEG's Mac and PC software.
