The Making New York Work for Everyone Action Plan was announced in December 2022, created over six months by the "New" New York Panel, launched by Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams. The action plan puts forth 40 initiatives to reimagine a "new" New York, with three sets of goals:

  1. Commercial districts as vibrant 24/7 destinations
  2. Make it easier for New Yorkers to get to work
  3. Generate inclusive, future-focused growth

Panelists include:

  • Richard R. Buery, Jr., a Senior Fellow at the GovLab at NYU and a Public Service Fellow at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service
  • Angie Kamath, Dean, NYU School of Professional Studies
  • Mitchell Moss, Professor of Urban Policy and Planning, NYU Wagner School
