NYU Libraries Catalog Features

The majority of filtering options are the same in the new catalog with the following small changes:

• Filter category “Show Only” allows users to filter very broadly only the location and type of resource. The options include:

  • Physical items held by the library (e.g., physical books, DVDs, scores, etc.)

  • Online only items (e.g., e-books, articles)

  • Peer reviewed journals and articles within such journals

  • Open access resources

• Filter category “Resource Type” now includes new options such as articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, to reflect the variety of new electronic resources now available in the catalog. 

• New filter category “Library Collection” which allows users to narrow their search by collections within libraries (e.g., Bobst Main Collection or AFC Video Collection). 

• New filter categories “Journal Title” & “E-Resource Collection”
