New Resources

  • 1 Sept 2022: New database: GrantForward, a funding opportunity database focused on academic researchers' needs. Sign up for an account using your email address.
  • 19 Aug 2022: Updated dataset: Most recent year (2021) added for "ReferenceUSA Historical Business Data (Entire USA)". Find it in the NYU Faculty Digital Archive (FDA). (Log in to view.)
  • 11 April 2022: New database: ProQuest Asian & European Business Collection, provides access to business-focused academic journals, newspapers, newswires, and magazines for Asia and Europe.
  • 17 March 2022: New content: NYU now subscribes to "fan premium" data content in Sports Business Research Network, which brings data granularity to the team level.
  • 22 Feb 2022: New database: Preqin includes coverage of alternative assets, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge funds, infrastructure, sustainability/ESG, Insight+ analysis.
  • 14 Feb 2022: New data: Preqin's private equity and venture capital data is now accessible via WRDS.
  • 21 January 2022: New database: EIU Access China provides access to economic statistics, data, analysis, & forecasts for China's 31 provinces and 292 largest cities.
  • 14 January 2022: Expanded access: Datastream, formerly only available on-site, is now accessible via Refinitiv Workspace and WRDS.
  • 12 January 2022: New database: Refinitiv Workspace, also known as Eikon, is the successor product to Thomson ONE.
  • 30 November 2021: New database: Vogue Business examines how cultural trends and global patterns impact fashion businesses.
  • 3 November 2021: New database: WGSN, the preeminent fashion and design trend forecasting platform.
  • 2 November 2021: New data: Lipper Hedge Fund Database (TASS) data is now available via WRDS.
  • 22 October 2021: New data: Additional years have been added to NYU's NYSE millisecond Trade and Quote (TAQ) data subscription, completing our coverage. Available via WRDS.
  • 15 October 2021: New database: eCommerceDB provides detailed information for 20,000 e-commerce stores in 50 countries.
  • 29 September 2021: New datasets: Worldscope and Refinitiv ESG Data are now accessible via WRDS.

Known IT Issues with Business Library Databases

  • Mergent Online: "Broker research reports" (analyst reports) for some major banks (Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, etc.) are not displaying in company view. The issue has been reported to the database provider. Access via the main "Investext" tab (or use Refinitiv Workspace) until Mergent fixes the error.
  • Refinitiv Workspace: Some accounts may not be working. Please email us using our form so we can report the issue.
