New Resources

  • 21 January 2022: New database: EIU Access China provides access to economic statistics, data, analysis, & forecasts for China's 31 provinces and 292 largest cities.
  • 14 January 2022: Expanded access: Datastream, formerly only available on-site, is now accessible via Refinitiv Workspace and WRDS.
  • 12 January 2022: New database: Refinitiv Workspace, also known as Eikon, is the successor product to Thomson ONE. Accounts requests approvals may be delayed.
  • 30 November 2021: New database: Vogue Business examines how cultural trends and global patterns impact fashion businesses.
  • 3 November 2021: New database: WGSN, the preeminent fashion and design trend forecasting platform.
  • 2 November 2021: New data: Lipper Hedge Fund Database (TASS) data is now available via WRDS.
  • 22 October 2021: New data: Additional years have been added to NYU's NYSE millisecond Trade and Quote (TAQ) data subscription, completing our coverage. Available via WRDS.
  • 15 October 2021: New database: eCommerceDB provides detailed information for 20,000 e-commerce stores in 50 countries.
  • 29 September 2021: New datasets: Worldscope and Refinitiv ESG Data are now accessible via WRDS.

  • 23 August 2021: New module: "Cannabis" in our Passport international market research database.
  • 20 August 2021: New alumni resource: First Research, a collection of nearly 500 industry reports.
  • 17 August 2021: New resource: The Wire China, a digital news magazine focused on China's economy.
  • 23 June 2021: Database update: BMI Research has been replace by its successor product: FitchConnect, which is temporarily limited to use on campus and via the NYU VPN.
  • 20 April 2021: New database: The Work from Cannes Lions provides access to award winning creative campaigns from leading agencies.
  • 11 March 2021: New database: GlobalData Disruptor tracks new and emerging technologies across industries.
  • 5 March 2021: New guide: Nielsen Kilts Datasets (Consumer Panel, PanelView Surveys, Retail Scanner, Ad Intel, PromoData). Access limited to tenured/tenure-track faculty, PhDs, and post-docs with approved projects.
  • 24 Feb 2021: New module: Company social media spend and impressions (monthly for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) have been added to our Winmo database.
  • 12 Feb 2021: New module: "Bloomsbury Fashion Business Cases", part of Bloomsbury Fashion Central.
  • 2 Feb 2021: Updated dataset: Most recent year (2020) added for "ReferenceUSA Historical Business Data (Entire USA)". Find it in the NYU Faculty Digital Archive (FDA). (Log in to view.)
  • 28 Jan 2021: New platform: ProQuest TDM (Text Data Mining) Studio allows scholars to mine large amounts of published content from news (including the Wall Street Journal), scholarly, and other publications available through NYU's core ProQuest subscription.

Known IT Issues with Databases

  • Mergent Online: "Broker research reports" (analyst reports) for some major banks (Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, etc.) are not displaying in company view. The issue has been reported to the database provider. Access via the main "Investext" tab (or use Refinitiv Workspace) until Mergent fixes the error.
