An introductory workshop that considers ways of using Gephi software to visualize network patterns with your text-based research. Using a text-based data-set, the course will consider how Gephi can be used to generate relational patterns, assemblages, and networks.

Skills Taught / Learning Outcomes:
  • Learn methodological terms and definition for building a network diagram
  • Navigate the software platform of the network diagram tool, Gephi
  • Build a dataset and understand data necessary to create network diagram in Gephi
  • Understand ways to clean and curate data
  • Format and design Gephi output
  • Publish graphs created in Gephi
