Data Services Class Descriptions

Information, materials, and schedules for all currently offered Data Services classes.
JupyterHub for Instructors is designed for instructors (faculty, TAs) who have requested a course site on NYU’s JupyterHub instance. It covers the functionalities and capabilities of JupyterHub, including designing and delivering assignments, managing users and kernels, and ideas for how to use it in designing assignments and delivering course content.

Room description:

Some tutorials are held remotely and require NYU sign on to access, while others are held in person, without a remote component. Please note the correct modality and location of the tutorial when registering

Prerequisites: None
Skills Taught / Learning Outcomes:
  • Notebook and notebook slide design
  • Setting up student assignments and grading using NBGrader
  • Managing environments and user access
  • Using additional non-Python kernels such as MySQL
  • Best practices for resource allocation
