What is Data Services? is an overview of the resources and support available to the NYU Community through Data Services. In this session, attendees are provided with an overview of the many ways in which NYU Data Services supports the research data lifecycle. If you are new to NYU or beginning a major research project, this session will be useful.

Room description:

Some tutorials are held remotely and require NYU sign on to access, while others are held in person, without a remote component. Please note the correct modality and location of the tutorial when registering

Prerequisites: None
Skills Taught / Learning Outcomes:
  • Develop familiarity with NYU Libraries' resources that support data learning at any stage in order to promote academic success and sound data management
  • Establish a contact with at least one NYU Librarian or NYU IT staff in order to have an engaged contact for support
  • Acquire pathways to ask for help, discover data sources, software, and services that will enable research and learning at NYU
