The ACLU has a a form and template to write to your representatives asking them to support H.R 40, a bill that would set up a commission to examine the institution of slavery and its impact and make recommendations to Congress for reparations.

The mission of The Color of Change is to "move decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America." A directory of over 100 Black-owned businesses you can support in seven different categories: beauty brands, bookstores, clothing and accessories, food and drink, fitness, home décor, and gift shops and beyond.

The Black Wallet exists to promote, educate, and inspire Black businesses, their owners and the Black community at-large.

Reclaim the Block began in 2018 and organizes Minneapolis community and city council members to move money from the police department into other areas of the city’s budget that truly promote community health and safety. This Google document was written by Fordham University students. It contains community mutual aid funds, fundraisers, and jail bail funds for protesters. The original intent of this document was to culminate a list of resources for Fordham students to donate to, but this of course is open to the public.

During times of great crisis, the systems in America that fail Black people on a normal day become even less reliable and the COVID-19 pandemic is no exception. From mutual aid efforts to disaster relief, Black communities know what’s best for Black people. Where we can, The Movement for Black Lives are providing for one another by developing mutual aid networks, organizing, and creating virtual spaces for connection and joy. Where we don’t have enough or where the systems meant to meet the needs of the people fail, we’re demanding more from our elected officials.
